Coordination of the development programme for UWTSD staff now occupying the new SA1 Campus is continuing with an evaluation of their first year experience of the learning spaces and technologies. A survey is being carried out and will be followed by focus group meetings to identify opportunities for improvement.

The IoT Pods for Workplace Training project funded by Ufi and carried out in partnership with Coleg Sir Gar and three manufacturing companies concluded today. The £200k project successfully demonstrated how Internet of Things devices could be used in supporting operator training in the workplace. A second phase of the project is planned for 2019/20.

The innovative training being developed with companies in the automotive manufacturing industry supply chain was demonstrated today at the Jaguar Land Rover annual Supplier Skills Forum in Birmingham. The Ufi funded IoT Pods for Workplace Training project was exhibited at the Forum and ten companies indicated an interest in being involved in future developments.
